Choose the right keywords
Words and phrases people use when searching on Google are your keywords. There are two reasons why it’s important to choose relevant keywords: First, you want your articles, website and other assets that you’re trying to promote (such as an eBook) to show up in searches where people are looking for information related to your topic. Second, picking relevant keywords will make your content more likely to rank highly in search engines.
The better your keyword-to-article match, generally speaking, the higher you can expect your webpage to rank in search results. We used Jaaxy to research keywords before writing our posts—it shows us how competitive a keyword is based on its average monthly searches on Google and Bing so we know if we should focus on a particular one or not. This way, we don’t waste time targeting low-volume keywords that aren’t worth targeting with our time or effort.
Jaaxy’s keyword tool is a great place to start when you are brainstorming keywords. You can type in a phrase and then play around with possible variations in terms of search volume and competition. Use keywords that relate directly to your content; not too general, not too specific.
The goal of SEO keyword research should be to find out which words people are using when they search for information on your topic of choice. Focus on those keywords, instead of using single words or phrases.
The Jaxy keyword tool will give you the best variations of keywords and keyword phrases and you can see the traffic volume and competition for each phrase. Go ahead and try it for yourself…
